Frequently asked questions

Questions worth answering before someone signs up.

What is AfriRuil?

AfriRuil is a marketplace designed to connect verified businesses seeking earlier settlement of eligible invoices with professional investors reviewing receivable opportunities.

Does submitting an invoice guarantee funding?

No. Eligibility, verification, invoice review, investor demand, auction outcome, funding, reconciliation, and settlement requirements all affect whether a transaction completes.

How are issuer fees shown?

Issuer screens separate invoice face value, auction discount, settlement amount, platform fee, applicable tax, adjustments, and estimated net payout.

Are investor returns guaranteed?

No. Annualised yield is not a guarantee. Debtor payment, delay, fraud, enforceability, operational, liquidity, concentration, and recovery risks can affect outcomes.

What is a firm bid?

A firm bid is a confirmed marketplace instruction submitted under the displayed auction terms. The product presents a confirmation step before sending it to the server.

Why is verification required?

Verification supports controlled access, account security, financial crime controls, authorised representation, bank-account validation, and an auditable participant record.

What happens when information needs correction?

The relevant review is returned with a specific correction request. The participant can update the affected information or evidence and resubmit it.

How can I raise a payment or settlement issue?

Use the contact form and choose Payments and settlement. Include the relevant reference, but never submit a password or one-time code.
